Intelligent video surveillance using self-learning event detection
SEDOR®, the self-learning event detector, improves the efficiency and security of your monitoring operation.
With conventional CCTV installations if you are to prevent a serious crime or expensive damage, then dangerous, threatening or suspicious events have to be recognised instantly from amongst an array of video pictures. SEDOR helps and supports security staff in their monitoring duties by automatically recognising dangerous situations, detecting relevant events, and calling attention to unusual situations.
SEDOR®’s special characteristic is its ability to learn independently to recognise and categorise events and situations as being normal or abnormal. For example this might be movement within the restricted zone at an art exhibition, unattended luggage left in an airport lounge, or the disappearance of an object from a railway station.
Any system using SEDOR® also has integral camera sabotage protection, because SEDOR® immediately recognises:
- repositioning of a camera
- spray painting of a camera
- screening or covering of a camera
- defocusing of a camera (producing out of focus pictures)
In addition SEDOR® can provide statistical analysis of customer and traffic movements - useful information for planning and marketing decisions.
