Dallmeier supports the Russian Olympic Committee, in particular the "Sports Stars Russia" project. On July 4, 2008, an event took place in the region of Sochi, Krasnaja Poljana, during which Dallmeier was honoured for its sponsoring and support of the project.

As a sponsor Dieter Dallmeier subsequently had the honour of awarding Nikolai Patruschev, the president of the Russian volleyball association, a gold medal in recognition of his commitment to Russian sports in general.

Incidentally Sochi will be the scene of the XXII Winter Olympics from the 4^th to 23^rd February 2014. The city thus came out on top against the Austrian city of Salzburg and Pyeongchang in South Korea. Sochi lies at the so-called "Russian Riviera" on the Black Sea coast, near the border with Georgia. The city with its 330.00 inhabitants is one of the most popular bathing and health resorts in Russia.
