Description
The importance of monitoring public places is ever increasing. Having information about the amount and type of vehicles as well as their speed are essential for sensible urban planning and traffic flow management. The SEDOR® technology provides such information. It allows for the monitoring of important traffic bottlenecks such as crossroads, access roads and exits leading to city centres as well as tunnels in order to ensure and enhance the efficiency of the existing transportation network.
Congestion and accidents are especially problematic on motorways and clearways. An immediate report combined with an initiated redirection of the traffic flow can prevent worse scenarios. Disabled vans parked on hard shoulders, pedestrians on the roadway and deer crossings are other sources of danger. The DI-Detector Traffic recognises such events just as quickly and precisely as it does with wrong-way drivers or objects on the roadway. Pavements and promenades as well as indoor and outdoor facilities of public transport also belong to the public place. Unusual events are recognised and reported, with the permanent availability of the recorded video of an accident allowing for an immediate reaction.
For higher security requirements such as in airports, a professional system is available with the DI-Detector Intruder.
